Community Worship Night and Livelihood Grand Opening!

The Youth led our Community Worship and Intercession night on 12th St this month. It was well attended, and many came for prayer. 12th St. residents had such a good time worshipping and praying together, for each other and for their community! Beautiful praise music was heard throughout the neighborhood. All are eagerly awaiting next month’s worship night and will bring their friends and family!

Isaiah 61:4 Livelihood had their Official Grand Opening! Managers Cindy and Emy welcomed guests and honored our livelihood supporters and friends. The remodeled room has space for 5 high speed machines and 4 treadle machines. Cindy, Emy and Leslie are searching for outlets to sell these bags made from recycled materials and trimmed with various colors and material. The “Matibay-Yong! Bagz” (Bayong is a shopping bag, Matibay means strong) comes in two sizes and a zippered version as well. They are also making purses and laptop bags and hope to do custom bags for local groups. They are waterproof and extremely durable.
Two weeks from now we will join the mayor at the weekly City Hall flag ceremony where he will endorse the products. Then Isaiah 61:4 will have an opportunity to sell the bags in the lobby of City Hall for that entire week! Pray for the success of this business and that it would grow to provide jobs for many more of the poor!
